Dream Catchers are inherent to Native American legend, tradition and spirituality, particularly the Ojibwe tribe beliefs. Native American legend attributes dream catchers to the net of a spider’s web where it is said medicine women (known as spider woman) would craft and weave the dreamcatcher from tree stems and weave the net from natural fibers to protect against evil energy lingering throughout the night.

Dreamcatchers are protective talismans that is used to protect from nightmares and low energy.

Each component of a dreamcatcher has a significant symbolism.  The circle represents the circle of life and the Earth/Sun elements.  Its net is represented to symbolize the constant weaving of life and “traps” the negative energy and nightmares in its tracks. The circle in the middle of the net represents where the good dreams filter through the subconscious mind.  The beads represents the anchoring of the soul throughout the astral realm and the feathers create the flow of throughout the astral realm.

Hang your dream catcher near a window or hang over your bed to alleviate restlessness and bring clarity and assist with remembering one’s dreams.
